February 19, 2020

Radiometer has donated 20 blood gas analyzers together with equipment to run 21,000 blood gas tests to support the demands of the new 1000-bed Vulcan Mountain Hospital, a newly established coronavirus hospital in Wuhan, China.

“The coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan is becoming increasingly critical, and when we found out that blood gas analyzers were needed at the new coronavirus hospital, we immediately decided to donate the instruments,” says Henrik Schimmell, President and CEO of Radiometer.

“As a company we hold a promise to our customers that whatever comes next, we make sure life comes first. The situation in China demonstrates that predicting the future in healthcare is difficult. At Radiometer we want to do our part in supporting the aid of the disease.”
